This past weekend, I had the best time in Dallas, Texas. My roommate is from Dallas and asked if I wanted to come home with her for Fall Break, to which I of course said yes - I'd never been to Texas and I definitely wanted a break from dorm living.
To sum it up: we shopped, ate, and just hung out. It was so nice to take a break and not worry about school for once. Even though I had a few things to work on, I put them off until the end of the weekend - that may have not been the best idea, but it was definitely worth it.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was going to a restaurant called Rise. It's a soufflé place and is also apparently George Bush's favorite restaurant! We ended up sitting at his favorite table in the place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was adorable.
We also did a little too much shopping. Long story short, I realized I fit into the kid's sizes at Vineyard Vines and went a little crazy, especially in the boys section. I ended up getting this, this, this, and this.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was Halloween night. We didn't have any plans, so we decided to take a trip to downtown Dallas where we took pictures with this really cool bridge and went to a chocolate shop. Not gonna lie, it was the best chocolate I've had in a while. (Plus, it's hand-painted, which makes it all the better.)
The trip was so wonderful. It was such a relaxing time away from UGA and I honestly didn't want to leave. The only thing getting me through is that Thanksgiving Break is less than 20 days away!
PS: While shopping, I noticed Anthropologie had their holiday items out, and I fell in love with this adorable plate:
