Welcome to another week of the Bloggers Back to School Link-up! If you missed my first two posts about back to school outfits, you can find them here and here. You can also follow everyone else's posts by searching the hashtag #BloggersBTS on Twitter.
This week's theme is organization! I always find that I stay organized best if I have the right materials. This means that every August you can find me hitting up the school supply sections at my local Target, Office Depot, and every store in-between. I pile in the post-it notes (seriously the best invention ever), paper clips, highlighters, and practically everything else they have to offer.
desk organizer - blue agenda - striped agenda - pencil pouch - the long list - lilly pulitzer highlighters - kate spade push pins - post-it notes
Some of these items speak for themselves as to why they're great for organization, but I want to talk a little about how I use some of them and why they help me stay organized.
First of all, Target has some adorable desk organizers this year. I ended up getting this one for my dorm room desk. These organizers are so important because a clean desk is a happy desk. I find that I can work with so much more motivation and efficiency when there aren't any random things splayed across my desk. Throw them in the organizer and you're good to go!
To really get the full use out of these, it's great to have a mini bulletin board (love this half gold one from Target). I love being able to pin things up at my desk, whether it's an important reminder, a receipt I don't want to lose, or a cute picture with friends. It's so easy to lose the little things, so I try to pin them up if they're important.
The Long List
I don't know what I would do without lists. It's so rewarding to be able to cross something off a list or check off a box. This "Long List" from Kate Spade is awesome for the task - any little notebook or journal would work just as fine, though. (I love Moleskines for list-making and goal-setting as well!)
