Weekend Adventures

       A weekend adventure is always the best way to go if you find yourself wanting to travel but not wanting to give up too much time. This past weekend, my dad and I headed up to Gatlinburg.
      We stayed in a really nice hotel, called the Park Vista. It's round and has an amazing view of the mountains. It's in it's own little world up on part of the mountain and is the perfect place to go if you're ever up in Gatlinburg. The view:

       Walking around downtown Gatlinburg, you can find ice cream shops, typical tourist trap t-shirt stores, mini golf, Ripley's Believe it or Not attractions and so on. 
       The best part in my opinion, was Ober Gatlinburg. It's a ski resort in the winter but functions in the summer as an amusement park type place. You take a tram up to the top where you'll find the ski lifts, an alpine slide luging course, an indoor skating rink, and some kiddie rides. The best part of the entire experience to me would be the tram rides up and down the mountain because of the spectacular views:
